After a great deal of wasted time, frustration, and effort with retarded NI t/s, I finally figured out where they were supposed to be (NI wouldn't - or couldn't - tell me), and got a friend with a working system to send the folder to me I copied it into the correct location, and Voila! it worked, after pointing Device Manager to the correct (new) location.
